Staging a Belltown condo
In this completed Nob Hill Style staging project in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, the dining table and seating area share one open room. Each has a clear place: a round table sits on its own rug, while a second rug brings the sofa, armchair and coffee table together near the windows.
The photographs show how those furniture groups relate to one another, from the dining area through to the living room.
Two places within one room
The dining table gives the foreground a center. Curved timber chairs echo its shape, and their open backs leave much of the room beyond in view. The edge of the dining rug marks where this group ends.
Farther into the room, the sofa faces a low cabinet across a rectangular coffee table. A pale armchair completes the seating group. The rugs separate the two uses without placing a tall divider between them.
A view through the living area

Windows wrap around a corner of the living room. The sofa sits below the glazing, and the coffee table’s glass top keeps the rug and floor visible beneath it. A slender floor lamp reaches over the seating without filling the view.
From the dining area, you can see the living-room arrangement and the windows beyond. The wider photograph is useful here: it shows the relationship between the furniture groups, rather than asking a close-up of one piece to explain the room.
A quieter bedroom

In the bedroom, pale bedding and a gray throw sit against a dark bed frame. Patterned pillows add contrast, while a small chair occupies the window corner. A narrow console along the entry wall gives the room a separate surface for books and flowers.
The bedroom carries through the light upholstery and darker accents visible in the living area, with fewer pieces around the bed.
Planning staging for a condo
When looking at a connected room, start with the activities you want a visitor to understand. Then consider the furniture groups together: how they sit beside each other, the paths between them and what remains visible across the room.
